This May, Strathclyde University will host our first Marine and Ocean User Group Event and Training Workshop. The event will be in the two days leading up to the All-Energy event in Glasgow, so you may wish to explore attending both.

Day 1: Innovations
Location: Kelvin Hydrodynamics Laboratory; 80 Acre Rd, Glasgow G20 0TL
Get hands-on experience with the Qualisys system, from setup to data collection in various scenarios. Working with tools to manage, analyze and automate the processes required to collect high quality data. Our hosts will demonstrate their use of motion capture in vessel and robotics applications in their purpose-built wave tanks.
As always, it is important to us here at Qualisys that we deliver events that help attendees to network and create future collaborations, so you will work in small groups, enjoy time meeting new people from your field, and share time socializing at Monday evening’s social event.
Day 2: Insight
Location: University of Strathclyde, Montrose St, Glasgow G4 0LZ
The Qualisys team will share new features and hardware, and you will enjoy a keynote talk from an expert in the discipline area. In addition, you and/or your colleagues will have the opportunity to share in the event by presenting a case study from your group, showcasing your applications, successes and challenges.
This is a good opportunity for postgraduate students to have an early opportunity to present their work and gain feedback from peers as we tend to focus on the motion capture application and approach, rather than an emphasis on results.
